Professor of Jurisprudence and its Foundations at the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan, specializing in contemporary Islamic financial transactions. He taught at several universities, including Zarqa University, Qassim University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Yarmouk University. He served as Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places from 2013–2016

He was a member of the Sharia Supervisory Committee for the Development of Orphan Funds from 2006–2016

He is the Chairman of the Sharia Supervisory Board at the Islamic Model Company for Microfinance  and the Al-Manara Islamic Insurance Company.
